'Ian was instituted as Team Rector of Yatton Moor in October 1998. He was ordained in Southwark Cathedral in 1974 by Dr. Mervyn Stockwood, the renowned \'Revd\' Bishop of Southwark!. Ian trained at Salisbury Theological College and was one of the first \'worker priests\' in the Church of England and exercised a non-stipendary ministry at the Elephant and Castle in the heart of \'down-town\' S.E. London, for 19 years!
He qualified both as a priest and a teacher and after obtaining classroom teaching experience went on to be a Headteacher in Bermondsey and then an Inspector of Schools. At one time Ian was the Senior Inspector in the heart of London, covering the triangle consisting of Mayfair to Kings Cross and north to Hampstead Heath.
As well as his present role, Ian is also a Rural Dean. He is the Bishop\'s link with the parishes in the area of Portishead, North Somerset and has devolved oversight of 30 church congregations and their priests.
Ian works closely with the Archdeacon of Bath in the sharing of episcopal oversight, which involves all new clergy appointments and the general well being of each parish.
His other major interest is musical composition in relation to Choral Music and further details can be found on Ian Hubbard\'s Music Website.');

                      'Cathy\'s personal interest is in all forms of prayer and spirituality. She finds her own spiritual nourishment in silence and contemplative prayer. She practises a wide ministry of spiritual direction and believes that listening to people as they explore their inner journey is an immense privilege.
Cathy follows the Celtic belief that all human beings are made in the image of God and therefore are essentially good, whilst at the same time also capable of great evil. It is by recognising the presence of Christ within ourselves that we can grow into the likeness of God and be transformed, and meditative and contemplative prayer aid this transformation.
Cathy also has a passion for environmental concerns, seeing the whole of creation as belonging to God and to be cherished by us for God and for future generations.
Holy Trinity, Cleeve has recently won a national award as an Eco-congregation which seeks to promote ways of living sustainably for all.');

                      'Chris was ordained into the Church of England in July 2006 and moved to Yatton Moor shortly after.
He describes himself as a \'people person\', combining this with an academic interest, singing, writing, trekking, cooking and gazing up at the stars. Chris can often be seen cycling round the parish, which he does in order to keep fit as well as providing an opportunity to meet people!
With two grown-up daughters, Chris is used to relating to young as well as old; he was formerly teaching 11-18 year olds in a number of subjects. Before that, he was in ministry in 3 free churches and has experience leading the work of charities as well as 12 years in Whitehall, working to ministers of a different type! Chris has a strong interest in affirming the value of human beings and writes about forms of de-humanisation in our world. He has a counselling as well as a teaching qualification. He is looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible in his time here and serving the Team with God\'s strength.');

                      'Avril Gaunt has lived in the Yatton Moor area with her husband Richard and two sons for nearly 25 years. She has been a committed Christian for most of her life. In 1995 Avril was ordained a Deacon followed by ordination to the Priesthood in 1997 serving as a non stidendary minister in our team until 2000.
Having been a nurse for many years she always felt called to minister to the sick so it was a natural progression to move into chaplaincy work when the opportunity arose. As a chaplain Avril works as part of a team at Southmead and Frenchay Hospitals where they offer themselves as a first contact for everyone`s spiritual and pastoral needs be they patients, staff and visitors and of all religions and none.
Local folk will often say they miss seeing Avril about the villages, but they certainly appreciate seeing a familiar face in what can be a very worrying and distressing environment. Do let Avril know if you ever find yourself in this situation!');
